Rimjhim Gire Sawan

Movie : Manzil (Hindi)
Song : Rimjhim Gire Sawan
Music : R.D.Burman
Originally Sung by : Kishore Kumar
Performed By : Dhiraj Barla

A very soft romantic melody delivered by Kishore Kumar saab and crafted by R.D.Burman saab, whenever I listened to this number, I imagine a slight drizzle in the background. That is what I call a soothing song. And I believe there are lots of people out there who love this number. An absolute gem in its own way. For the first time I have tried to sing over a Karaoke track, please leave a comment if you like it.

It is a beautiful song crafted by Maestro Ilayaraja. And wonderfully sung by gifted singer Yesudas. I tried my best to do justice to this great number. Please leave a comment if you like it.

Hi Dhiraj
Did not realise that you had a blog, I had visited your website.
Came here from Suresh's blog (ursmusically.wordpress.com) You've sung very well in all songs. Guess you still have to master the mixing aspects...that should come with time.

Very emotive renditions dhiraj. I truly like your involved renditions. I am not sure if you have got the diction right though. what is your mother tongue ? And what are the languages that you are comfortable singing in ?

pls send a mail to cfdmodeler-dhool@yahoo.com

Dhiraj, you have got a very good voice and good technique. You also have the right emotions to go with it. Just two suggestins. Take care on the pronounciation and style. Your style even for hindi songs is based on SPB.Try to cut out the SPB type modulations. I know it's not easy, but you will be able to do it if you try.Singers in Kerala all have a Yesudas type of modulation. Also the recording quality of the voice can be improved a lot. You are a very very good singer and with experience you can go very far. keep it up! All the best! Listen more and more hindi. I am also still a student trying to improve my singing. We all are!

Good job ...the best quality I like is that you are not scared to throw your voice especially when you go up the scale.

Do listen to my rendition of Rim Jhim Ghire sawan and let me know your honest feedback. If you dont want to post a comment on our blog thats fine leave me an email ...I would appreciate it.

Nice rendition dhiraj !!!
The echo seems to be high in "Surmayee akhiyon mein", making your voice less heard at certain places...
It is one of my favourites...You have done a good job !!! Keep posting...

This song, Surmayi Ankhiyon Main is actually the 'Melody of Life Time'. You have done a lot of justice to this number but I felt something missing ... I felt as if u were trying to control your voice. But this song is like 'melting with music'. You have to really set yourself free to sing it deeply. Your voice is good, no doubts, however, sing it deeper, stretch your nodes, Close your eyes and feel it and THEN sing it, you will cross your own expectations from this song.

Heard Rimjhim Gire Sawan first and Surmayi Ankhiyon Mein next. Kishore da and Das Yetta, both have a totally different voice base and full of expression. Some songs are legends, makes you feel that nobody can sing these well other than the original singers, but not only did you sing well, but also as much emotion in the song as Kishore da gave and in your own style.
