Aaoge Jab Tum - Jab We Met

Movie : Jab We Met(Hindi)
Song : Aaoge Jab Tum
Music : Sandesh Shandilya
Originally Sung by : Ustad Rashid Khan
Performed By : Dhiraj Barla

Here is a song from the movie Jab We Met, when I first heard this one in the movie, I was very much moved by its picturisation and the way Ustad Rashid Khan sang this one. I loved his strong voice and the way he sang those subtle emotions, truly classical. While I thought Pritam did a wonderful job in composing this song unlike the image he has. But to my surprise, it was not composed by him, rather it is guest composer Sandesh Shandilya.

This is just a humble attempt to sing this song by Ustad ji. Hope you guys like it.

Wonderfully sung Dhiraj. Great expressions and the alaap and sargam were nicely done! I was also under the misconception that Pritam had composed this :). A minor thing: the "Jh" pronounciation in jhoom, jhool etc. can be improved a bit.

Tushar,

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, glad you liked my version of this beautiful song.

Sorry man I don't know the Raga, may be Raag Megh (its just a guess though)

Beautiful rendition. Soulful voice.I could listen to this a thousand times. I think it is yaman Kalyan and may be a blended with a couple other raagas.

Neither Megh not Yaman Kalyan. It has to do with Raga Tilak Kamod...

Thanks Bhushan

Wish you all the best and I am sure you will share the stage with Shankar.

when you got max points in all other categories proves the performance of this song.

Two areas as suggested by SEL team that needs improvement, pronunciation (2 less than max) and Singing in rhythm & tempo ( 4 less than max),

Pronunciation:
words are not very clear in few places, Jhoom jhoom ke ( second jhoom is lost), aangana, phool khilenge (got extended as phoolu), palkonke, kai sare hai could have been more clear and these have a accent. So only 2 points less than max.

rhythm and tempo,
You got tempo and rhythm slower than original, energy is lesser in singing, then in between few places you are slow and then back to normal speed, like between interludes and the antara, there is no consistency in singing. Sapnon kaa in later part of the song has issues could have been better

These are something like to figure out some issues for a great singing wise flawless attempt.
